I am Cuba: Unknown in the West until the 1990s, this Soviet/Cuban propaganda film presents four vignettes about the lives of the Cuban people set during the pre-revolutionary era.
The Siberian mammoth: Using new and archival footage and interviews, this documentary examines the creation and exhibition of the Soviet/Cuban propaganda film, I am Cuba, and contrasts the Cuba shown in the film with the Cuba of forty years later.
A film about Mikhail Kalatozov: Mikhail Kalatozishvili, grandson of revered Russian director Mikhail Kalatozov, gathers admirers and collaborators together to discuss his grandfather's life and work. Includes film clips and rare behind-the-scenes footage.
